Well, the time has come and the rumors are true.... We are moving to Jackson, MS!!  Wesley and I have always talked about what it would be like to write this post and to actually be moving back to the South.  I really can't describe it though - a little bit anxiety, a lot of happy... but also a lot of stress! 

Wesley has accepted a job with the new Governor as his Health Policy Advisor.  Needless to say, I am so proud of him!!  I, on the other hand, do not have a job yet.  Perhaps I will be a lady of leisure for a while... :)  But if anyone has any ideas for a job for me, I am all ears!!  We are so excited to be closer to family and friends, and of course Oxford.  :)  We have appreciated all the love and support we have received over the past (almost!) 4 years we have been in DC.  We couldn't have made it this long without yall and without yall welcoming us home with open arms everytime we visited.  But now we are coming home for good - and we couldn't be happier.

it is almost winter.... which can only mean...

we have mice again.

oh and didn't we have an exterminator come three times last year? yes.

and didn't we lay traps and try to warn the rest of the mice family not to mess with us this year? yes.

well, they are back which was evidenced by the hole in the stacy's pita chip bag and the half eaten brazil nuts in my pantry.

virginia wine country

one of the things that i will miss most about dc when we move away (someday.... anyday... anyone? please? jobs?!) ANYWAY! One of the things I will miss a lot is how close we are to vineyards and beautiful scenery. we can literally drive into virginia and in 30 minutes and we are in the middle of rolling hills and beautiful trees. we also can drink some good wine.

one saturday we decided hey let's go wine tasting. so we packed a lunch and snacks (food anxiety - definitely had to pack snacks) in our traders joe's insulated cooler and took off to the vineyards just the two of us. i didn't map it out - which i always do. so ocd. we just got in the car and drove. we had the best time and discovered some new vineyards that we hadn't been to before. if people would come to visit us............. we could take you to them :) in the mean time, you can look at our pics.
