The Best Husband in the Weurllldddd

Well, I am going to start off by saying I am a huge b*tch. The following story will acknowledge this fact.

For the past week I have been begging Wesley to buy me the Sex & the City DVD the day it came out, which was yesterday. Wesley kept telling me we could get it this weekend since we wouldn't have time to watch it anyway. Having accepted (not completely happy about it...), but accepting this fact, I figured I could just get the movie during the weekend.

After going to WT&Y last night for dinner (ie. Wings, Thangs & Yuenglangs... for those of you out of the loop), we got home and Wesley needed to hop in the shower. He asked me if I could get some things together for the next day which included getting the Netflix movie out of the DVD player and putting it in the package to send back. After shrugging it off like I would do it later, Wesley asked again if I would just do it right now and get it over with. Being the huge b*itch that I am, I snap back to him to back off and I'll do it later. I proceed to storm to the DVD player open it up................................ AND THE SEX & THE CITY DVD IS IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally hit the floor out of excitement and look up at Wesley who is giving me the, "I bet you wish you hadn't been such a big bia about it huh" look. Not only did he get me the DVD... but the EXTENDED VERSION with extra dvd interviews!!!!! So exciting - and he even stayed up and watched it with me.

So there. I have the best husband in the weurld. Night night. :)

The Cat is BACK!!

Well, after a long stint away from my computer I am back. I know I have become a sorry excuse for a blogger, but since according to all of yall... Wesley is "soooo funny!" "Wesley is the best blogger!"... "He writes the funniest stuff!!" You know what. I've about had it. About the throw in my towel on being a blogger and leave the blogging to the "funny one" in the relationship. Geeez. Someone love ME the most!!!! Hahaa.... Now that I have gotten that off my chest....

Last week I had the great opportunity to head to the Big Apple and go to Coterie (also known as fashion market) for Cicada!! Mae and I ventured to the City for four days straight and looked at clothes, clothes, and MORE clothes. NOT that I am complaining - yall know I can never get enough of looking at clothes. We even went shopping a couple of days AFTER the show! I had so much fun and love that I already know what's coming for spring (not to mention I've already ordered my whole wardrobe.... don't well Worsch!) I got to see a lot of the designers that design the clothes that I wear all the time. I also saw WHITNEY FROM THE HILLS!!!! I completely freaked out and started having a panic attack. She was SO TALL and SKINNY, but so pretty. It was awesome. I also got to hang out with Jordan, Elizabeth and Anna almost every night! It was so much fun getting to see them and their cute apartments, and getting to hang out in their city!

Friday, like Wesley mentioned in his previous post, we drove to Knoxville for the UT vs Florida game. We laid low at night, but got a great dinner with my parents on Friday night and then spent the day at Davis's house aka Animal House. We also all went to the game, but we know how that ended....... oh well. We still had fun!!!! The weekend was a lot of fun and we were glad we got hang out with my parents, brother, and friends. Gotta love SEC football.

Busy week ahead.... trying to catch up on the loads of work I missed last week. I'm back to my boy now........... until next time.

When the cat's away......

The mouse will do nothing. I have been a bachelor since Sunday and I have to tell you, I do not like it. Back in the day, I thoroughly enjoyed the single life. Not so much anymore. Don't get me wrong, IV tried to patch the hole that was missing. He did a fabulous job, but it just wasn't the same.

My first night as a pseudo single man. I say single, because Webster defines the term as "not accompanied by another or others; solitary". That is what I am, single. Sunday afternoon, after watching Lo head off to the big apple, I managed to get lost in the city looking for the new grocery store. I prevailed by using what I know best here, public transportation. (**As I was typing the word "transportation" the guy on t.v. said the word, weird. ) Monday began another work week. I always shave on Sunday night before the week begins. I decided not to this time and opted to shave Monday morning. It was amazing for me. A close shave without the irritated redness we all know as razor burn.

Monday- work. That actually is about all that happened in my life that day. It is amazing that I have worked at Senator Wicker's office now for 5 weeks. I went to bed early that night. Oh yeah, I picked up my dry cleaning. I get to live in that world now. I kind of like it.

Tuesday- Recently in my work at the Senator's office, I have had the privilege of dealing with issues that hit home (i.e. natural disasters, gas prices, immigration, the economy, etc.). I have learned a lot and will continue to do so. I have particularly dealt with the topic of natural disasters, especially in post-hurricane times. Without getting into detail, it is very interesting.

I walked out of my office yesterday and guess who I saw. Hillary Clinton. I have found how to tell when she is in her office, but I will not reveal that due to this post being on the World Wide Web. Tuesday was definitely my day to see the important people. Bob Corker, a TN Senator, and I have apparently the same schedule because everywhere I went, I saw him. A honorable thing, seeing how most of my time was spent running errands, therefore, I assume he runs his own errands. ha.

If anyone ever needs a tour of our Nation's Capitol, come to me. I can do it with my eyes closed. I am that good. While on an unexpected tour Tuesday, I ran into Ryan Lochte. For those of you who are thinking to your self "How do I know that name?" Let me tell you. He won 5 medals in the Beijing Olympics. Swimming, if you are still wondering. He helped Michael Phelps do his thing. Post work, IV and I went to Wings, Things, and Yuenglings. I have record setting 8 weeks in a row; IV-3. Going strong. Post-adventure, I went to the gym to kill time.

Today- Another day at work, nothing special. I cooked dinner and had a couple of glasses of red wine. Early bed for me because luckily tomorrow is a big day. My girl is coming back. Believe you me I will feel a bit of normalcy once she has returned.

This weekend we are headed out of town. KNOXVILLE, TN. We are going to visit Davis, see Lauren's parents, and watch Tennessee and Florida. Should be an exciting time. Well I am off. I successfully spilled a candle onto the carpet, the bed, the computer, basically everything. Not so much my fault as I didnt actually knock over the candle. But seeing how its between me and the candle and hes not talking, I lose.

Until next time......

We May Not Win Every Game, but We Never Lose a Party..

Greetings everyone. It has been a few days since we last spoke. Much has happened during the past few days. Our new place is in the final stages of having the WoLo touch added to it. Pictures will soon be posted. Below this, you have seen the before images. In the days to come you will be able to view the after shots. A few days ago, we were able to fly to Nashville, have dinner with both sets of parents and drive the rest of our belongings to D.C. Needless to say, it was fast, productive, and memorable. We enjoy every minute we have with the rents!!

Last Saturday, our friends were able to begin a new era of Ole Miss football with Houston Nutt. The Groove tent, from what I heard, was everything is was expected to be and more. Well Lo and I were unable to attend. We were very sad. Very. We decided that if we couldn't make it to the Grove, we would bring the Grove to us. Yesterday, as Hurricane Hannah made its way through D.C., we gathered the things that were a must in the Grove, and headed home to get ready. After showering and getting our clothes together, I settled down in "the Grove" at 323 Maryland. I must stop and point out that Lo asked me if the dress, yes dress, she picked out was "dressy" enough!!! Nothing has changed. Our good friend, who just moved here, "IV", came over and we watched the Ole Miss game.

I will have to say the saying is true. We may not win every game, but we never lose a party. The DC Grove was a huge success. I was very impressed with the football team. When, in recent years, has Ole Miss lost and still scored 28 points?!? Quoting Obama (which is something I never do, because I don't like him) "This is a change we can believe in". PS. That is the first and LAST time I will quote him.

So GO Rebs. This should be an interesting and fun season.
